It’s About That Time.

I always dig this time of year, it's always a time to reflect on the last 12 months and think "wow I could have done that better" or "that was a pretty good moment"
So thinking here, 2008 has been pretty insane for the movie....we've met and talked with a ton of movie fans at screenings, on line, on the phone, on the street, in person....had some great and memorable screenings all over the country, I mean we played Qualcomm stadium in San Diego, watched 2 film projectors melt in Philly, and had an ice filled post show Q&A in a parking lot in rehoboth beach....talked to 100+ radio stations....2008 has been kind to the movie..now we head into 2009, so where will the movie land in '09? Stay tuned, I hope to have that answer for you soon. Movie wise, we started another film (in Baltimore) and actually couldn't do a couple of projects for other filmmakers (scheduling stuff), wrote something where a great cast attached, and if all goes well...we could roll on that in 2009, plus we got some great films from top notch directors as Gus Van Sant, Bill Page, Vince Corkadel, Christopher Nolan, and Clint Eastwood, we got some great music....Von Hayes, Hold Steady, Ryan Adams and G Love, all giving us some really great material.
We got a new president.
I got a brand new family member. I realized my dog has superhuman recovery powers. Philly got a soccer team. My Phillies won the world series.
Just recently in this neck of the woods,we had some insane freak luck happen in Philadelphia for the Eagles. There were so many goofy scenarios that had to fall into place for the Philadelphia Eagles to move forward after this weekend. A buddy of mine named George summed it up, and I thought that quoting it was a perfect way to end this year and head into 2009, he said "If somehow every bizarre scenario fell into place managed to work out for the Eagles...imagine how many more bizarre scenarios can work out for every single one of us?"
So with that, from my family at home and my film family down at the parking lot ....I wish you and yours every great and bizarre scenario to to fall into place and work out for every single one of you.
a big big love,
TIM
