....and I feel fine.

It was time for me to help...I had some connections...so all I needed to do to get some of these folks back in the right direction was to pick up my cell phone and make a call...but....uh oh....somehow among all the torrential downfall and chaos, my phone ended up getting dropped and is floating around in Amish country in Lancaster, PA....so sorry if anyone had tried to reach me from Saturday to Monday....but if you get a call from my number but the caller on the other end introduces himself as "Lancaster Larry", please tell him to return that phone to me immediately...
So, now we all needed to do this rebound...of course with everything in my summers, it starts with the Phillies right? I've been a fan since I was about 8. So I watched a LOT of bad ball out of them over the years....but they're a win away from being Champions...so the rebound DEFINITELY starts now....Monday night...here we go.... since my team never wins anything, I actually called a few of my Yankee fan Friends...they told me how to celebrate.
This how we roll. Or is it?
Oh. Wait. More rain. Lots of it. They postpone our Monday victory celebration...and stretch the game WAY out until Wednesday....so maybe the rebound will start Wednesday?
Wednesday. Well not a bad start. That accolade award we won for LEAF finally arrived in a big box. My goal is to travel around and visit every cast and crew member and get s snapshot of them holding the award....that's like 50+ people...but it'd be a fun photo album to post.
Look for pictures of lots of good folks holding this thing.
Low and behold, after I get a new cell phone, some good samaritan from Lancaster calls...they found the old phone floating around...they dried it off, charged the battery and called to tell me they were sending it to me. Look at that. Maybe the world ISN'T ending....
And, well, don't you know. The Phillies went ahead and won the entire thing. To quote second baseman Chase Utley's philosophy, "World Champions. World F--ing Champions"
Unreal. Just unreal.
Plus I heard from my friend who was losing his job at the car manufacturer, he talked to his HR folks who were going through years of employee paperwork...and they did confirm the local urban legend that Bob Marley DID live in Delaware and DID in fact work at a car manufacturing plant for a while. Bob Marley has told us that "everything's gonna be alright...." who knows. With a huge change in this country just days away...and the economy hopefully starting to turn around....with our friends all interviewing for new jobs....with our troops still feeling loved and supported...with my Phils maybe winning the whole thing, who knows? Maybe Bob Marley is right.
Confirmed. This man was at one point a Delawarean.
Take care and be good, and don't forget to vote.
