Here, There and Everywhere.

So how about them Philadelphia Phillies? This has been a good week. Let me tell you all...I've watched a LOT of Phillies losses. A LOT. Believe me I've spent hours watching guys named Travis Lee, Rico Brogna, Doug Glanville and Bruce Chen. So after suffering many nights of watching those guys play. It's nice to finally have this moment. So let's just hope the fellas can win it all, this city hasn't had a major winner since 1983. (Thanks Dr. J!) So it's been 25 years....let's hope for some good things.

Several thousand Phillies.. fans poured onto Frankford Avenue, near Cottman Avenue in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia, Wednesday night to celebrate the Phillies beating the Dodgers in Game 5 of the NLCS to advance to the World Series. (Steven M. Falk / Staff Photographer)

Things are cooking over here. Little update... my dog named Lucy was in an accident and gave us a scare, but she's fine now and running around like a goofball as usual....and I'm just looking for the weather to work with us so we can knock out a final shoot day of the next thing we're doing, this little piece called "Baltimore". ...after that, the movie "LEAF" is jetting off to San Diego in December for a free screening of for all of the fans. I hope I get to go along with it. I'd love a little Southern California sunshine during what should be a cold time out east.

Speaking of "Leaf", thanks to deadspin for picking up last week's blog and blasting in nationwide...you really never have any idea who's reading this thing, but we now have lots more readers and friends, so I welcome it and am glad to meet you all. On the other side of that, John Pierson who wrote the groundbreaking indie film book "Spike, Mike Slackers and Dykes" saw a clip of LEAF and went out of his way to track me down and say "Nice to meet you, that clip did nothing for me..." It's nice when someone who's work you admire just doesn't like you at all. I guess his next book won't be titled "Spike, Mike, Slackers and Tim Carr" too bad. It had a nice ring to it.

I meant to go get O.A.R. tickets on this tour. But missed out. I did walk by a billboard in NYC that had spray painted "f you I won't do what you tell me" so it inspired me to go bust out the old RAGE cd. Also I've been listening to "Stranger than Fiction" by Bad Religion. Bad Religion has something like 27642767927 releases, but this one is especially good.

Stranger Than Fiction

No idea why, but recently I was reminded of this. And I'm using this forum to apologize to anyone in the Delaware area who thought that they may have met the great Rick Astley in 1995. If you thought "Wow Rick Astley sort of looked like a bored 18 year old kid" here's why:

When the BEST BUY first opned on Kirkwood Highway in like 1995 in Newark, they had a shopping cart filled with free "cassette singles". There were like 50 RICK ASTLEY cassette singles. I took like 30 of them, and went to SEARS at prices corner, stood in front of it for like 2 hours, gave it out to people and said "hello I'm Rick Astley, this is my new single, please have this"

True story. I often wondered why I took such great lengths to make my friends laugh.

One last thing, after urging from my sisters....I'm now also on facebook...good times. Stop in, and someone please tell me what the heck a poke is.

take care and be good,

TIM
