Hollywood Thinks I Dress Like a Homeless Teenager.

How is everyone? I figured I'd break out my box of 64 crayons, pick one out and write you all a little note.
 
Hope everyone's summer is getting off on the right foot. I thought my summer was going well, until I saw Jack Johnson's new video. Look at this summertime goodness. It looks like the most fun I've ever seen. When I have a summer day like this….that's how I'll know summer is really getting good:


 
Took some time and turned on the MTV Movie Awards last night, as well as the Flyers, Lakers etc etc….basically I was flipping through the channels like a madman. Thought Sandra Bullock proved to all of us why she's queen on the world these days, Aziz Ansari with his hilarious BP rant and pretty- much- hilarious- everything….he should host every awards show, and WOW Tom Cruise. WOW. I was watching Tom Cruise kicking it and thinking "I wish Tom Cruise was like this, all the time….rapping with Ludacris, cursing like a drunken sailor, dancing with J Lo"
 
Though when I watch MTV, know what I miss? No, I'm not going on a "MTV needs to play videos" rant. I miss that creepy show they used to do called FANatic. It was this show where they'd take a celebrity's #1 fan and put them in the room with said celebrity. Some were fun and you were happy for the fans, others were a little out there and a little bit  uncomfortable like "Hey George Clooney I stole this from your trash can will you sign it?" stuff like that, made for some pretty entertaining tv. I wish they'd bring it back. Especially the episode where I asked George Clooney to sign his garbage….
 
Have some entertaining DETECTIVES news. Looks like the "powers that be" have instructed me to do a little more press and do a photo shoot. I said "I have publicity pictures, what do you want done differently?" and they said "the networks. This is more of a campaign type deal. We need them to know that you don't always dress like a homeless teenager". I did ask them. So I guess I had it coming. So in the coming weeks, I'll likely get to wear less CLASH tee shirts and probably more BEATLES tee shirts. Basically just kick it up. Keeping it classy. 


 What's also a little wild is how sometimes when I'm having a "Detectives" meeting where someone randomly says something, and everyone randomly nods their heads and agrees. Like recently mid-conversation, a higher up said "yep, Matt Fox Style" I was like "the guy from LOST?" No answer. Just MATT FOX STYLE. Since then I've been trying to figure out a way to work that into my day to day conversation, "how would you like your burger?" "With cheese, Matt Fox style" it hasn't made sense. But I look forward to a day when maybe, just maybe, it will.
 
So as I continue to have meetings about DETECTIVES and hear cryptic phrases, working on lots to stay busy. Filming starts next week on something sort of fun I'm look forward to being a part of called "Just Bennie" and that shoot schedule looks to be pretty smooth, and should take us right into the early fall, when I head off to New York New York big city of dreams for something a little harder hitting called "BART", I won't be dressing like a teenage vagrant on screen for that one. Well maybe a little bit. But still, it'll be New York and it's always a lot of fun to work there. Especially if we get the cast everyone is looking at. That could really be some story! Plus this week, there's something new, talking with a very talented director about directing some pages I'd turned in recently, if all goes well, that'll be the first project I've written that I didn't direct myself. So if that happens, it'll be really interesting to see a great director and talented cast put a spin on that story and those pages. I'll keep you all updated, hopefully have some photos and updates of all of this to show. It's nice to be able to have things lined up, also things finally coming out,  as well as the TV show to keep things just hopping. (and let's hope we continue to get some fun stories out of this you know, MATT FOX STYLE. Still doesn't work. What does that mean? Matt Fox, if you're reading this, and I like to think that you are, please explain.)
