Raise a Glass.

Hey Gang, wanted to pick up the pen and wish you and yours a fine fine holiday time. How’s everyone? Good? Good times? Hope so. Everyoen doing a little buying? Little giving? Little wrapping? Maybe even a little rapping?
Things are good here...I just wrapped “SAFE” with Jason Statham, Anson Mount, Chris Sarandon etc etc. What was fun about this, was that in this fine ensemble cast….you’ll find just warriors of stage and screen... the mighty Brian Anthony Wilson and great Lyman Chen. So if you’re counting, that’s 3 members of our TV show “WATCHING THE DETECTIVES” in this movie…we need to get more of the Detectives in there, I know they wrap this week, come on get all of the DETECTIVES and villains in that mix! Who do I need to call?
But filming was a lot of fun, I got to work with terrific stunt coordinator JJ Perry (he did the stunts for Avatar and Iron Man) and the director was Boaz Yakim, who’s directed a lot of really great flicks like FRESH and REMEMBER THE TITANS, so we were in good hands for this film and I hope you all really dig it when it’s out next year. Everyone from the producers, directors, all the talent in front of the screen as well as behind the scenes, everyone's focus was telling a great story. So I really think with everyone firng on all cylinders, we'll make something fun for you all.
Funny bit while we were filming too. I was talking with Boaz and Jason Statham and the conversation turned to "JOHN HUGHES MOVIES" and Boaz had mentioned what a fan he was of "The Breakfast Club" and "Pretty in Pink" and the Mighty Statham had mentioned he'd never seen "Pretty in Pink" and would check it out around the holidays. So for a second just enjoy the image of one of the biggest action stars on the planet, taking some time and hoping for the best for Duckie, like we all were.
Also, right now I was hoping to steer you all on to something that’s pretty cool, the lovely Gwen Gioia and the lovely Bill Page have been hosting something new called INDIE FILM NIGHT. What is it? Basically it’s something where you can get in, watch some free indie film at home, it’s pretty much an interactive indie film festival experience where you don’t even have to leave the house. They try and do a new one every Wednesday and you can find them over at www.IndieFilmNight.com these are good folks doing something for the film community, so please, check it out and maybe you’ll see something you like bunches. I'm actually about 3 weeks behind on all of these films, but I plan on catching up entirely!
So with that, I wish you and yours a tremendous holiday and all the love, happiness and peace of mind to get you into a brans new fresh year.
For me it's not the holidays without Queens, New York's Finest (shame on Starbucks for sticking a ridiculous ad before this video)
Of course if we do that amazing group from Queens, we'd better do this one too. My other favorite, The Ramones
take care and be good,
