Well here we go...we're back to work...Looks like LEAF is kicking off it's FALL 2008 Screening Tour...as I write this...there's even more stuff cooking (good news gang...when I know for sure, I will share it...)
First of all, we got some good press in "Delaware Today" magazine...it's a fun little article...it's the 3rd one down and it's right here:
So the film has been accepted at the Newark Film Festival (
www.NewarkFilm.com) where we are nominated for an award called
"Best of the Fest" which is pretty exciting. We've been lucky when it comes to awards these days. More on that soon. Anyway,
LEAF will be featured among films starring folks like
Sir Ben Kingsley, Colin Firth, Jim Broadbent and Kristin Scott Thomas. There's also a few documentaries I'd like to try and sneak in (there's one on Hunter S Thompson called "GONZO" and this film "American Teen"which is supposed to be terrific) hopefully there'll be time....as LEAF finishes it's screening and I meet and greet everyone who came
( I've been doing these Q&A forums afterward....they've been lively and fun....my favorite was a post Q&A forum in an icy parking lot....wind was blowing and I was answering everything that everyone wanted to know...good times) so bust out those calendar books....we're screening this on
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 6th at 1:45pm at the NEWARK CINEMA 3, at 411 Newark Shopping Center, Newark, DE 19711
And if you enjoyed the heck out of yourself at that screening....as soon as it's over....we're off to BROOKLYN, New York. We're screening at a studio called EAST COAST ALIENS (coolest name for a studio, ever) I just saw the theater...there are couches there (how cool is that?) we are tearing the roof off of that place on SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 7th at 8:30pm. The cool thing here is we'll have trailers and short films opening that show. We'll be throwing that down at 216 Franklin Street in Greenpoint Brooklyn, NY (between huron and green streets. the closest subway stop is the greenpoint ave. stop on the g train). If any of you want to get to that show...let me know....I'll be heading up there and can get you all the best way to get there (in NYC the subway. Always.) Funny thing is September 7th is the first day of the football season...so what better way to kick off the LEAF New York Encore show?

More good news and some west coast dates coming possibly as early as next week. Hang on to your hat. This tour is looking to be absolutely mind blowing. See you all there at the movies. I'll share my snacks.
your homie,
TIM
