Mischa?

Hi Friends,

Look at this review of the movie of LEAF that someone just sent me "Carr appears to have talent and he appears to have charisma but after seeing him up close at the screening, we couldn’t decide if he was a nice guy or if he’s the type of spoiled twenty something actor who would make the tabloid magazines. He could be something to watch for in the future. Or he could be someone I’d see on the front page at a club misbehaving next to Mischa Barton."

Really? Mischa Barton? Really? Twenty something? I’m 32 next month. So if it must be said, I’m a spoiled thirty something. I don’t mind being insulted or even getting a backhanded compliment like this review...but please, if you want to insult, at least use the facts. Plus I’ve never seen THE OC, so I had to look up Mischa on WIKIPEDIA. She seems pleasant enough.

The New Kids on the Block are re uniting? Has anyone REALLY ever said to themselves "we’re at war, the economy is in the toilet and I’m spending almost 4$ a gallon for gas, you know what’ll make me feel better? Hearing PLEASE DON’T GO GIRL"

Face The Music (1994)

I’m going to need to apologize in advance for my slew of over exposure in the coming months...LEAF is still making it’s screenings (and we’re back in NYC in about 8 weeks, and at the Broadway Theater in Pitman, NJ on Sunday April 27th), as well as the next film I’m in, a quirky and fun little film called DOWN WITH THE BOOGEY out in limited release (Also playing on Broadway on Friday May 16th)...

...and in addition, a VERY small film I did called "a deeper shade of soul" that was just sitting on the shelf gathering dust has all of a sudden been plucked and prominently featured in a New York Film series. Please come and check any of these projects out and when all of this comes out, I’ll go away for a few months, promise. I feel like the equivalent of the FOO FIGHTERS, where you turn the radio on and hear them 5 times in the hour and say "really? them again?"

Hey when did Maryland’s own GOOD CHARLOTTE start dating "the simple life girls"? Aren’t GOOD CHARLOTTE supposed to be all these tough pop punk guys with neck tattoos?

From left to right: Paul Thomas, Joel Madden, Benji Madden, Dean Butterworth, and Billy Martin.

I find it funny that Paris and Nicole look tougher in their photos than the Good Charlotte picture.

I think BuddyHead.Com said it best when they said "Good Charlotte are nothing but the Backstreet Boys in Hot Topic clothes".  If Nicole and Paris wanted to date some local guys, they should have just called the guys in the band VON HAYES, better music, better attitudes, and better work ethic. How good is their work ethic? I hadn’t clicked on the band’s page in like a week, and in that time, they posted like 18 brand new songs. Beat that, Good Charlotte.

The Von. Since I started writing this sentence they’ve recorded 14 more songs.

How about those 76’ers? No superstar, no payroll, left for dead since the first day of the season, and look at that....in the playoffs for the first time in 3 years.  Go get ’em Sixers, I’ll be watching. The Flyers? They have superstars and payrolls, and they were left for dead for about 2 months, and then they came back to make the playoffs. Philly sports. It’ll give you an ulcer.

However my buddy Jay is obsessed with the Flyers AND is doing everyone’s taxes this year. It’ll be fascinating to see how he balances the two. I worry his head may explode.

The best e-mail of the week, and I got plenty for my COUNTING CROWS comment last week.

"How can you NOT like Counting Crows? Their new song ’You Can’t Count On Me’ is great, explain to me why you hate them"

I really respect everyone’s opinion, I really do. I was just never a fan of the whole "complaint rock" movement.  I don’t like emo bands like Dashboard Confessional either. I just like music with a little less whining. But really, everything I babble about in this blog, I hope it doesn’t offend anyone. It’s just incessant rambling really. Pay it no mind.

I just realized this is the second time in 2 weeks I’ve mentioned Paris Hilton in this thing. That may be my cue to wrap it up.

Take care,
Be Good,
Try the new VAMPIRE WEEKEND record,
Go Sixers,
Go Flyers,
Go Phils,
Be kind rewind,
Just say no,
may the force be with you
The dude abides,

Your Friends,
Tim and Mischa.
