Good Evening Everyone,

How was the holiday? Good times? Here's hoping you all had some time to get a little peace and solace around the holiday.

Normally this is a perfect time to take some time, wake up slow and ease into the next week...however...the movie "LEAF" is landing in SAN DIEGO on Wednesday. What are the details? Here you are:

Wednesday December 3rd at 6:30pm

San Diego 3rd Floor Auditorium 820 E
Street, San Diego, CA 92101 (619-236-5821)

Leave those wallets at home folks. This is a free show. I actually turned down a bigger venue because they wanted to charge all the good folks. I want this FREE FOR ALL. This one is for the fans. Why? Because I love ya, that's why.

I've been kicking out some press on this too. This week, we'll rock NBC and we're hitting the San Diego Tribune. It was an honor to sit down and do an interview with not only a world class writer in Jay Posner, but also a great guy and a huge addition to the LEAF cast. I'm not sure when the article will run, but keep checking back here. I'll have it posted. Not only because it's about the movie, also because Jay Posner is a top notch writer, and it'd be good to throw some classy writing on this blog. Normally I start off strong but by the end these things end up babbling about Guns n Roses or cereal.

Also we just finished another interview with a very good soul out of Philadelphia named Bob Stineman, it wasn't just about LEAF and the press that movie has been getting, but it turned out to evolve into another forum of advice for indie filmmakers in general. I do want to check with him before running it here though, so stay tuned, we'll have all of this stuff posted here for everyone.

Not sure if everyone has been following, I know there's a lot going on these days (bad economy, war, new President, holidays, Phillies win the world Series.), but it looks like the Screen Actors Guild is on the brink of a strike. Why? Well the long and short is, that the old deal guarantees certain things, but techonology keeps evolving and there are so many different ways to watch TV and films now (online, on demand, etc etc) so there may be a strike (just like the writers had last year) just to make sure the new deal includes all of the new techonology. That was my quick 10 cent explanation...for more info feel free to check www.sag.org for all the details.

As for me, I'm just trying to take some time, get all the SAG paperwork and possible strike deadlines squared away, that way nothing that I'm working on (like next spring's BALTIMORE) will get lost in the shuffle. However, is this strike does happen...I'll have some free time to rest and hang out, so let's all catch up and get a snack, listen to some tunes or have some cereal. I'm a big fan of LIFE.

Life Cereal, 15-Ounce Box (Pack of 6)

So with that, I wish you all a pleasant week, and SAN DIEGO... Can't wait to see and hear from you all. I wish I could be there, but recent events to the LEAF story actually have me in editing this week working on a few tweeks to the ending. But we're looking to have an encore show...and I'll be looking to come out and hang out with you all in person.

Take care be well, and try and check out the new Michael Franti & Spearhead record "All Rebel Rockers",
